Day 2: Epic Adventures

For those who do not know, we are about to head off on an epic adventure next month.

We being me, Mark, Katie, and Emma.

We're heading back to Europe at the end of May.

This trip will begin in Barcelona, then off to Nice, Rome, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris, and lastly, London.

We will be gone for 3 weeks total, so it's just a few days in each location.

The 1st 4 destinations are new, the last 3 will be repeat visits.

We're excited and nervous all at once.

And incredibly lucky to be able to take the girls on another epic adventure.

We're hoping this trip will make them comfortable with foreign travel, so they are brave enough to dream and get out there to explore their world as young adults.

And looking forward to sharing a future adventure with both of the boys.

And maybe even a couple's adventure with just me and Mark one of these days.

But for now, we're going to enjoy this last adventure before Katie heads off to college and adulthood and responsibilities.

If anyone has been to any of these destinations, we would love suggestions on what to do//see//eat.

"And if travel is like love, it is, in the end, mostly because it's a heightened state of awareness, in which we are mindful, receptive, undimmed by familiarity and ready to be transformed. That is why the best trips, like the best love affairs, never really end."
